With Baseball season starting, I thought of a good idea for MLB to integrate into their apps, a check-in feature.  I think it would be really great to be able to check-in using the MLB At Bat iPhone app. Where I check into the stadium when I'm at a game OR when I'm watching it.  This information won't just be beneficial for other fans to see the numbers grow, but for MLB to observe the analytics.

Just imagine if MLB, NFL and NBA all had some sort of check-in feature where you can see how many people are at the game using the app.  Not only just see how many people but to be able to interact with them.  Root for your team with other app users when your favorite player hits a homerun, scores a touchdown or posterizes a player.  I bet you anything this will be implemented on all the major sports app by next year with the growth of GPS check-in apps like FourSquare.

I think MLB should hire me for social media innovation.
