UPDATE: The app is now appearing fine in the app store and on your iPhone you should notice it lets you update to the newest version.

UPDATE: It's important that you DELETE your Facebook app currently on your iPhone or iPod Touch,connect it to computer, install the new app. There is currently problems with the old version being cached on the iTunes App Store. So do above and that should work for everyone!

Well I felt like a kid on Christmas day when I heard Facebook 3.0 app came out.  After playing with the new app I find it very useful.  Now you can call / SMS directly from the Facebook app.  Another big improvement is being able to look at the Events! There has been so many improvements, you will have to upgrade to see for yourself.

Friends will have a phone icon next to them if you can just quickly call or SMS them.  Makes things really convenient.
