Problems with SMS:

• SMS is obnoxious for touch screen phones
• Half the time I write a reply on my touch screen android it misspells words
• I spend more time trying to correct what I’m trying to type than actually typing the response
• I would rather use a keyboard if I’m near my computer
• SMS needs to be more of a instant messenger using data on the cloud
• If you get a link that is not mobile friendly, you will need to send the link somehow to yourself so you can open it up on desktop

I have said many times, it’s annoying responding to SMS messages from  touch screen devices.  If I want to write something quick, I don’t mind that but if it’s a sentence or two and the touch screen is not catching what I’m typing, it’s annoying to go back and forth trying to correct a simple phrase to send to someone.  I have been looking for alternatives and was using a couple solutions and then I was recommended to check out Mighty Text (shout out to Jason Reid) and this app is SWEET.

Google Voice, Google Talk and Facebook Messenger were all great alternatives.

If you have an android phone and use Chrome you will love this, Mighty Text (chrome extension) you will also need to get the android app.
