To install this app on your Facebook page, simply go here Display your iTunes songs and albums on your Facebook page. Click on ‘Add on Page’ and you should see a new tab called ‘iTunes’ on your Page. When you click it, you will see the admin settings.

I just added a search box to every tab where users can easily search iTunes for songs about their artist. I also made a way for the admin to choose between what type (songs/albums) they want to have as the default to load.
I made a Facebook application a few months ago where artists can add their iTunes songs to their Facebook Page. I made a few updates to this application and wanted to explain it a bit more. I don’t see why an artist would NOT want this on their Facebook Page. After a few months when I originally created this, I decided to look through the records and see if any notable artists were using it. I was very excited to learn this app is getting a lot of attention from mainstream artists (Dixie Chicks, Clay Aiken, Tech N9ne, Brotha Lynch Hung, Chalie Boy, Paul Wall).
Above is a screen shot of Dixie Chicks using the app on their Facebook Page. The app is simple: It displays the recent songs and albums (which you can choose to filter) from that artist. There is a share button next to every song/album.
Here is an example of what the admin of a page sees:
The example of the iTunes app that I administrate is showing that I’m using “Bruce Springsteen” and all you need to know is the artist’s iTunes id. I made a really simple tool to find an artist’s iTunes id.
One of the weird problems with Facebook is the inability of a Facebook Page using the share button. Whenever you press a “share button” whether your on your Page or Profile, it will always share through your Facebook Profile account. I think Facebook will eventually make a way to share as a Page admin but the work around for this I made is the “Admin share url.” All a Page admin needs to do is copy and paste the url as a link on their Facebook Page and it will post that iTunes song.
Right now I have this app completely free for anyone to use for Facebook Pages. As of November 2010 the app has over 12,000 monthly active users! Check out my review on AppBistro.
