Check-in to TV shows and Movies, like FourSquare (@gomiso)

MisologoI was just thinking the other day, since I watch a good amount of TV shows & movies, it would be great to have some sort of check-in application that shares that information to Facebook and Twitter, just like FourSquare.  I was recently referred to check out the iPhone application called Miso [itunes link].  The iPhone application itself looks identical to FourSquare's, so it's easy to get familiar with it and know how it operates.

GPS seems to be blowing up lately with the success of FourSquare, they were even suggested as the "Twitter of 2010" which I found very interesting. Checking into your favorite place using GPS seems to be the hottest new thing.  I always use FourSquare to check-in when I go see a movie, that will change now since I been aware of Miso.  The great thing about Miso is, you can even share with your friends through FourSquare! When you go to a movie, it just makes sense to use Miso instead of FourSquare because it shares what movie you are seeing and where at.

You can connect Miso with your Facebook, Twitter and FourSquare account.

For most of you that know that I am a big 24 fan and very upset it's ending, you will see me checking into 24 using Miso for the rest of the season!

Miso recently stated on Twitter:

"@digijeff oh cool! it's not remotely to where we want it to be, but love feedback! thanks for writing about us!"

I think overall their first version of their iPhone application was built really well.  I really like the fact the tv shows logo appears when you share it on Facebook, that's a major plus.  I haven't checked into a movie yet using the app, but I'm assuming the poster will show.  I think the biggest part of the Facebook integration is having those logos/posters showing to catch the eyes of friends, so they can comment.
