You got the right idea, will be adding a vimeo plugin. The problem with self hosted flvs is it will be hard to pull a thumbnail from that file, with youtube, I can get it from their api.

I will try and make it more user friendly to where they can drag and drog within WordPress, valid points.

Looks really promising! It’d be great if everyone of these plugins is widgetized, that way they can easily be moved around to best suite each users needs. Most users don’t feel comfortable inserting anything into the code, so if this goes public, I think the widget areas would be the best way to go.

The ability to show videos from not just YouTube could also be nice. I’m using a plugin on one of my client sites that allows this, Press75 Simple Video Embedder. The ability to have it work only on YouTube could be one feature, the other using that plugin would allow multiple options like Vimeo, Facebook, & self hosted FLV & MP4 videos.

Options to have the iTunes display as text only or images would be nice too. Even the ability to set how many images/songs are shown would be a nice feature.

There’s plugins out there that handle most of these features separately, but having a plugin set that contained all of these w/ multiple options for each would definitely be worth some money. Good luck with this, look forward to seeing where this leads!

I understand where you’re coming from. Although I don’t get to work in the music industry as much as I would like, I see a problem in general of Pages not being managed properly. Interesting post!
